Wuppertal - Four students were injured by an attacker at a school in Wuppertal.
The suspect was also injured and was arrested, said a police spokesman in Düsseldorf.
According to dpa information, this is also a student.
As the police announced, it was the Wilhelm-Dörpfeld-Gymnasium in the Elberfeld district.
The police and fire brigade are on site with strong forces.
A contact point has been set up for parents.
Police said there was no shooting during the incident.
There is still no further information about the perpetrator.
According to the “Bild-Zeitung”, a knife was used.
Students safe
According to a dpa reporter, the police led students out of the school building in groups.
The building has now been evacuated.
“The students are safe and are being looked after,” the officials write on the X platform.
The scene is cordoned off and a police helicopter is circling in the air.
Among the numerous emergency services there are also officers with submachine guns.
