The first French online blitz championship will deliver its verdict on Saturday March 2 and Sunday March 3 during the final phases, which will see the best French players compete.
Organized by the French Chess Federation and the Immortal Game platform, this championship brought together more than 5,000 participants during the qualifying arenas.
Imagined as a great popular chess festival, this first French online chess championship was open and free for all players, amateurs and professionals, regardless of level.
A formula that brought together several thousand participants with extremely diverse profiles sharing a common passion for Chess.
At the end of the qualifications which were held from January 30 to February 4, the first 200 of the mixed tournament and the first hundred of the women's tournament qualified for a decisive elimination tournament organized on February 10.
At the end of this second stage, 16 men and 8 players obtained their tickets for the final phases.

The best players will be there for the final phases, which will take place on Saturday March 2 and Sunday March 3 at the Immortal Game premises in Paris.
In this single-elimination format, participants will compete in head-to-head matches.
The first player to reach 3 points or more, with at least one point ahead of their opponent, wins the match and qualifies for the next round (each victory earns one point).
These final phases will be commented on and streamed live by Blitzstream, the most followed Chess streamer in France.
Several tens of thousands of viewers are expected.
