The families of the abductees will hold a joint Friday dinner around the long table in the abductees' square this evening (Friday).
The meal will include: a quarter pita, a spoonful of cheese, and toilet paper instead of a kippa.
The families' headquarters announced that "the people of Israel are invited to join and strengthen."
The meal is being held to mark 20 Friday meals and 21 Shavuot, which the abductees are not with and are forced to accept Shabbat in the dark Hamas tunnels.
For the benefit of those who will not be able to make it to the Kidnapped Square, many bakeries throughout the country accepted the request of the Kidnapped Headquarters and placed a box with quarters of pita at their door.
From the headquarters of the families it was stated that "the people of Israel are invited to equip themselves with a quarter of a pita when they are on their way to buy the Shabbat challah, we will place the quarter of the pita next to the challah in the center of the table and for one moment we will all together remember and be united with those who are not yet here and it is time to send them home."
