"No, I don't fear a split vote.
If I were someone who gets scared easily I wouldn't have gotten to where I am. We will win and govern Sardinia for five years."
Alessandra Todde, candidate for the center-left alliance led by Pd-M5s in Sardinia, two days before the vote for the regional elections, is convinced of this.
"Our coalition represents the only real alternative for a progressive and inclusive Sardinia", she explains to ANSA a few hours after the end of her electoral campaign, at 6pm at the Cagliari Fair.

"A vote given to Soru is a vote for Truzzu - he replies -. Soru is taking on a very serious responsibility, risking allowing those who destroyed the Region to remain in government. He knows well that he is not competitive, moreover with a election that rewards only the two most voted".
Todde's run to Sunday's vote has been a long one, starting soon after her candidacy was made official last November.
"We have reached 100 meetings in the area. Thousands of kilometers travelled, thousands of people met - is the summary of the presidential candidate -. An exciting electoral campaign, full of enthusiasm, affection, based on listening, discussion and proposals" .
It is the moment of women in politics, the aspiring first woman to govern the Region knows the difficulty of inequality: "Being women is increasingly tiring, I had already experienced it in work, and in politics it is the same. We are always under the attack of prejudices, exposed to disproportionate attention on skills and abilities. If I had been a man everything would have been easier, but a woman is asked twice as much commitment and sacrifice to achieve the same objectives."
And she addresses the woman who today leads the government and the majority party: "As a Sardinian, I am outraged that a Prime Minister comes to do 'cabaret' on stage in Sardinia, making jokes as if she were in the opposition, not meeting and not listening to the citizens - Todde insists -.
Meloni should have come here to apologize for 5 years of disasters, for the cuts to healthcare, instead he comes to make fun of the Sardinians and talk to us about meritocracy after having nominated Truzzu, one of the least appreciated mayors of 'Italy".
As for the issues, "healthcare - she clarifies - takes precedence over everyone: it must return to being a universal and public right".
Then the last appeal: "I ask the undecided to mobilize, to go and vote, to help us avoid another five years of darkness for Sardinia. Change starts from us and from us alone".
