After a serious accident not far from the Nuremberg Opera House on Thursday, a 64-year-old man died in hospital.

The man crashed into a tree in a van in the Tafelhof district on Thursday, February 22nd.

The driver of a van drove off the road to the right around 8:10 a.m. on Thursday morning while crossing the Frauentorgraben.

According to the police, he hit a traffic sign and a parked car.

Police blue lights flash when an accident is recorded.

Due to the force of the impact, the van was thrown against a tree on the left side of the road, and only then did the vehicle come to a stop on the opposite lane, badly damaged.

It was only by chance that no other road users were approaching.
