After a serious accident not far from the Nuremberg Opera House on Thursday, a 64-year-old man died in hospital.
Nuremberg – A 64-year-old died from his injuries after a serious traffic accident in Nuremberg.
The man crashed into a tree in a van in the Tafelhof district on Thursday, February 22nd.
64-year-old crashes into a tree in Nuremberg
The driver of a van drove off the road to the right around 8:10 a.m. on Thursday morning while crossing the Frauentorgraben.
According to the police, he hit a traffic sign and a parked car.
Police blue lights flash when an accident is recorded.

Due to the force of the impact, the van was thrown against a tree on the left side of the road, and only then did the vehicle come to a stop on the opposite lane, badly damaged.
It was only by chance that no other road users were approaching.

But for the driver of the van, any help apparently came too late.
The 64-year-old was already unconscious when the police and emergency services arrived and was taken to a hospital with ongoing resuscitation measures.
But he died there.

It is still unclear why the man lost control of his vehicle almost directly at the Nuremberg Opera House on Thursday morning.
According to the responsible police headquarters in Middle Franconia, a medical cause may be the reason for the accident.
