Soost to have good cards at “Let's Dance”.
But the choreographer has some problems with his health.
Cologne – It starts again on Friday (February 23rd): 14 celebrities take part in “Let's Dance” to prove their skills on the dance floor.
Detlef D is also among the candidates for the 17th season!
Soost (53).
As a choreographer he already has a lot of dance experience.
It was precisely for this reason that he had “forbidden himself from participating so far”.
The former “Popstars” judge admits to

that he feared that viewers might be biased because he is already a dance professional.

As Soost dealt with “Let's Dance” more intensively, he realized that his area of expertise was completely different.
“The dances I have learned over the last 41 years are hip-hop and urban dance.
“I have to unlearn all of that now,” he explains.
But his health no longer seems to be the best.
According to Soost, his body is now pretty worn out.
This could be a disadvantage when competing with younger candidates.
“At 53 years old, with two artificial hips and a steel plate in my leg with seven screws, I’m no longer as physically agile as a Sophia Thiel or a Gabriel Kelly,” reveals the fitness trainer, letting his concern shine through as to whether he can keep up with the other celebrities can.

This statement makes one wonder: Is Detlef D!

After all, the strenuous dance rehearsals regularly push the candidates to the limits of their strength.
At least the Berlin native is not lacking in motivation.
“I love this show, I would like to tick it off my bucket list,” he emphasizes.
Despite his health problems, he tackles “Let's Dance” full of energy and enthusiasm.

And what does Soost's wife Kate Hall (40) actually say about his participation?
“Kate is behind me 100 percent.
“We have been married for the twelfth year, together for the 15th year, have our daughter and lead a happy life,” enthuses the 53-year-old.
The couple has “little fear that anything could happen that would damage our relationship.” So the star choreographer doesn’t have to worry about jealousy from his wife.
“Bergdoktor” star Mark Keller is also there – and has already banned his sons from “Let’s Dance”.
