Excitement in the Kurhaus: Suddenly the taps are missing from the bar.

A bizarre story happened this week in the Kurhaus Krün.
There, employees of the Mittenwald brewery are said to have unscrewed the taps at the bar, to the dismay of the innkeepers.
Even the police had to come.

– A horror scenario for every innkeeper: you open the restaurant and find that the taps are missing from the bar.
In other words: a tavern on dry land – a nightmare.
Something similar must have happened to Elaine Wendtland at the beginning of the week, who, together with her husband Michael, have been the tenants of the community-owned spa house in Krün since December 2022.
“A Schildbürger prank,” says the experienced landlady, slightly stunned.
"I've never experienced anything like that."
The businesswoman is referring to a really bizarre incident that, according to her, happened as follows: On Tuesday morning, three men and a woman arrived.
You are supposed to pick up various inventory on behalf of the Mittenwald brewery.
The reason: The innkeepers of the Kurhaus-Parkrestaurant have terminated the contract with the Isartal drinks company.
According to Elaine Wendtland, guests had complained about the quality of the beer “a few times a week.”
Mayor Thomas Schwarzenberger also confirms that there were problems.
However, he does not want to comment further on the case.
“You have to ask those involved,” the town hall boss said cautiously to the Tagblatt.
In any case, the tenants, who have a free choice when it comes to purchasing drinks, drew a line in the sand when it came to the Mittenwald brewery.
Incidentally, there was no comment from them yesterday.
In a Facebook post, the innkeepers documented the dispensing system with the taps unscrewed.

But from the police in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
Their Isartal patrol was called to the Kurhaus Krün shortly after 9:30 a.m.
“It wasn’t a real operation,” said a police spokesman.
It is said to have been more of an attempt at mediation between the tenant and the brewery employees.
They not only picked up various company inventory, but also removed the taps from the dispensing system.
“You can't unscrew them,” the horrified landlady said to the work crew.
But this apparently seems to be right.
An employee of the brewery is said to have called the police and not the landlady.
In this context, Elaine Wendtland reports that about a year and a half ago the old taps were replaced with new ones from the company in question.
“It’s logical that they are part of the restaurant’s furnishings,” says the landlady.
In the presence of law enforcement officers, their arguments appear to be more valid.
Because the disputed taps will be screwed back on a short time later.
The police speak of a “civil dispute” in this case.
“We also cannot determine who owns the taps,” explains the inspection spokesman.
For the innkeepers, the previously unique story is now over.
“However, the landlord is refraining from making a complaint,” the Wendtlands wrote in a post on social media.
There is no comment from the Mittenwald brewery on a tap dispute that is unique in the Upper Isar Valley.
