The dance floor was already hot at the start of the new “Let's Dance” season.
However, after just a few minutes, RTL made a mistake.
Cologne – In addition to “Germany is looking for the superstar”, “Who wants to be a millionaire?” and “I am a star – get me out of here!”, “Let's Dance” is one of the most long-lasting and successful RTL formats.
On Friday evening (February 23rd), the Cologne station attracted people with the start of the 17th season, in which, as usual, the group dances and getting to know each other came first.
But that came with its pitfalls.
During “Let’s Dance” live broadcast: RTL shows advertising instead of phone numbers
While the “Let's Dance” studio shone in new splendor and the first celebrities gave a foretaste of their dancing skills, everything was still running smoothly.
However, there were apparently problems behind the scenes.
Because when the first commercial break came around half an hour later, the direction made a mistake.
The clip, in which the phone numbers of the “Let's Dance” candidates and the associated RTL competition are shown, only flickered across the TV screens for a fraction of a second.
Then the clip abruptly ended and transitioned into a commercial for a razor.
The phone numbers and therefore the chance of winning 10,000 euros remained hidden from television viewers for the time being.

Included are Maria Clara Groppler, Tony Bauer, Sophia Thiel, Stefano Zarrella, Biyon Kattilathu, Detlef Soost, Eva Padberg, Ann-Kathrin Bendixen, Lina Larissa Strahl, Jana Wosnitza, Lulu, Gabriel Kelly, Mark Keller and Tillmann Schulz.

The error itself, however, was noticed by some “Let's Dance” fans, as the corresponding reactions on The user was also surprised: “Was the competition just cut?” One viewer even speculated: “Do they have to advertise so urgently that they can’t even show the paid phone numbers anymore?”

The Cologne broadcaster cleverly fixed the small glitch afterwards: the omitted clip was then simply shown after the commercial break.
The lack of a popular professional dancer also caused some surprise: Christian Polanc (45) only recently explained the reasons for his exit from “Let's Dance”.
