A violent argument broke out in the Tyrolean ski area “Ski Juwel Alpbachtal/Wildschönau” in the Kufstein district.
A man is said to have kicked a 14-year-old holidaymaker from the Netherlands who was lying on the ground in the face with a snowboard boot.
His 18-year-old sister was beaten by one of the men after an attempt at mediation and then briefly lost consciousness, police said on Thursday.
Last year, a man in an Austrian ski resort was attacked with a beer mug after an attempt at mediation.

The 19-year-old brother of the two victims of the attack had to avoid a man and a child standing on the slopes.
Although there was no collision, there was an argument between two men and the three siblings who were traveling with their parents.
On a ski slope in Alpbach, Tyrol, unknown people kicked a 14-year-old in the face and knocked his 18-year-old sister unconscious.

The 18-year-old was then delivered to Kufstein Hospital by the mountain rescue team, while her brother went there independently.
The two unknown men are said to have fled after the argument.
That's why the police are now asking for information to the Wörgl police station.
The two men are said to have spoken German and one of them was snowboarding.
The siblings estimated the men to be around 30 years old; one of them had a brown beard and was said to have been wearing a red jacket.
The other man was wearing glasses and a blue jacket.
