Several innovations are on the horizon for the Unterhaching industrial area on Grünwalder Weg.
Among other things, a bus connection, an adventure playground and further e-charging stations are planned.
Unterhaching
- From 2027, the connection to public transport desired by many citizens would be possible for the first time - so far the commercial area can only be reached by car or bicycle.
Plant Kölle is also planning two projects in its customer parking lot: an adventure playground and charging stations for electric cars.
Expansion of regional bus route 217
Charlotte Schmidt from the town hall's Citizen Services & Mobility Department spoke of a “win-win situation for everyone” when she presented the MVV's offer to the building committee.
The transport association approached the community and promised to expand regional bus route 217 when the timetable changed in December 2027.
“This would be a rare chance to connect Unterhaching and Grünwalder Weg directly to public transport,” said Charlotte Schmidt.
The previous cumbersome detour, namely taking the S-Bahn to Taufkirchen and from there taking the 241 bus to the commercial area, would then be much more comfortable.
Many seniors in particular without a car have been demanding this for many years.
The only condition: no deterioration for the Grünau
Gertraud Schubert (FWU) expressed skepticism: “Who takes the bus to the hardware store?” Mayor Wolfgang Panzer (SPD) has another concern: that line 217, which currently runs between the Neuperlach Süd subway station and the Unterhaching S-Bahn station If you make a loop through Grünau, you may no longer be able to follow this loop.
“There must be no deterioration for Grünau – this price would be too high for an extension of bus route 217 into the commercial area,” said Panzer.
Stefan König (Greens) agreed with him: “The current route of line 217 must remain as it is.
But if, by expanding the bus route, ten to 20 fewer cars drive into Grünwalder Weg every day, where people shop like crazy, that will be good for Unterhaching.” With this in mind, the building committee gave its approval for further planning steps with the MVV.
Adventure playground near Plant Kölle
Regardless of the topic of the bus route, there will be two innovations in the western part of the commercial area near Plant Kölle.
On the north side of the customer parking lot, not far from the roundabout on Parkackerstrasse, three fast charging stations plus a transformer station are to be built so that up to six electric cars can be charged during a visit to the plant market.
The community sees the request as positive, because the 20 fast-charging spaces in the neighboring Edeka Simmel parking lot are usually fully utilized.
Project number two from Anlagen Kölle concerns the two southeast rows of parking spaces, i.e. approximately at the level of the entrance.
An adventure playground for children is to be created there to increase the attractiveness of the garden center - there is talk of a “play garden”.
The eight disabled parking spaces there would have to be relocated one row at a time.
The building committee had no objections to this: the 468 required car parking spaces remain guaranteed.
