Highlights: Co-star grimaced in disgust at Meghan Markle's wedding. Hoffmann starred alongside the Duchess of Sussex from 2011 until Meghan's exit from the series in 2017 following her engagement to Prince Harry. “If you type my name into Google, you'll see [I] make this horrible face," he explained in the February 14 episode of the podcast about the short moment of his involuntary glory. The old church walls have now been cleared of any guilt, but it turns out that it was actually the foul-smelling bad breath of an unknown wedding guest.

In a podcast series, Meghan Markle's ex-"Suits" colleague Rick Hoffmann explains again why he looks so disgusted at Meghan and Harry's wedding.

Windsor – No question: Rick Hoffman (53) demonizes May 19th.

2018, Meghan Markle (42) and Prince Harry (39) wedding, for which he sat on the pews in St. George's Chapel in Windsor Castle.

He has to explain his face at the wedding ceremony, which was contorted in a mixture of disgust, disbelief and discomfort, again and again, most recently in the episode of “Chicks in the Office”, a podcast series that has been running since 2018.

“It smelled terrible”: Rick Hoffmann suddenly grimaced during Meghan and Harry’s vows

The hosts Fran (Francesca Mariano, 30) and Ria (Maria Ciuffo, 27) invited Hoffman just for this reason.

He is supposed to report why he grimaced in such disgust in the venerable walls of Meghan and Harry's wedding chapel during the sacred wedding vow "I hereby declare you husband and wife" that his grimace then went viral.

Apparently the series actor is still suffering from the experience to this day.

He was very happy about the momentous royal event; there were cameras everywhere.

“And then, as time goes on, I start to smell something really horrible and foul,” he laments.

He tried to hold his freshly creamed hands in front of his nose, but the musty smell easily overpowered the vanilla and coconut scent.

The old church walls have now been cleared of any guilt, but it turns out that it was actually the foul-smelling bad breath of an unknown wedding guest.

In later interviews, Hoffmann also admitted to having a particularly sensitive nose.

The British journalist Omid Scobie (42) and royal expert Carolyn Durand claim in their Harry and Meghan biography “Finding Freedom” (first published in 2020) that scent diffusers were used before the royal wedding to get rid of the “musty”, but definitely to cover up the typical church smell.
