The demonstrations continue.

This weekend, blue and yellow colors will also shine at rallies - in memory of the victims of the Russian attack on Ukraine two years ago.

Potsdam/Eberswalde/Herzberg/Frankfurt - People in numerous cities across Brandenburg want to take to the streets against right-wing extremism again this weekend.

At the same time, there are rallies and exhibitions to mark the second anniversary of the Russian attack on Ukraine.

On Saturday, demonstrations against the right are planned in Brandenburg / Havel, Beelitz and Herzberg (Elster), as the “Brandenburg shows attitude” alliance announced on its website.

In Müncheberg, too, an alliance wants to send a visible signal for democracy and peace.

The initiative writes: “Come with heart & flashlight.”

On Sunday there will be demonstrations in Eberswalde, Wittenberge, Luckau and Ahrensfelde.

In Potsdam, Fridays for Future is organizing a demo with lights and music at the Old Market under the motto “Together against the right”.

There will be a rally in Frankfurt (Oder) on Saturday as a sign of solidarity with Ukraine.

The European University Viadrina is involved.

The Church of Peace in the city is illuminated in the evening in the blue and yellow colors of Ukraine.

A public commemoration of the victims of the war is planned in Cottbus on Sunday.

An art event with installations, a film and a photo exhibition presented on Saturday under the title “24.02.

“Wounded” (German: wounded) the Ukraine Aid Potsdam.

The organizers said that visitors should be able to experience the journey of someone wounded in war.

Brandenburg's integration commissioner, Doris Lemmermeier, praised the efforts of Ukrainian organizations for war refugees.

They are an “important bridge to German society,” she said, according to a statement on Friday.

Lemmermeier emphasized that the ongoing war was still burdening the country and its people.

“Many Ukrainians are constantly worried about their relatives, their fathers, husbands, brothers and sons every day.”
