Tod's Chairman Diego Della Valle on Friday rejected suggestions that the operation launched recently to delist the luxury leather goods company is aimed at selling it further down the line.
"We don't need to sell anything, we have a family business with young people who want to do this job, what could be better...?"said Della Valle on the sidelines of the Tod's fashion show in Milan.
Earlier this month Della Valle and his brother Andrea announced that they were launching an operation to delist Tod's, along with the private equity fund L Catterton.
The offer of 43 euros per share is the second attempt to take the company private in under two years in a transaction valuing it at around 1.4 billion euros.
