The sewer work on Zangmeisterstrasse and Pfaffengasse will start soon.
The first construction phase, from the market square to Zangmeisterstrasse 12, is scheduled to begin in mid-March, weather permitting.
The second construction phase includes the rest of Zangmeisterstrasse as well as Pfaffengasse and the area west of the Westertor.
Memmingen - The construction yard has taken advantage of the mild weather and has already carefully removed the Stolpersteine - brass-colored memorial stones for those murdered and displaced by the Nazi regime - in front of house numbers 8, 12 and 24.

The stones will be stored in the building yard during construction.
Students from the state secondary school, who have taken over the sponsorship and care of all Memmingen stumbling blocks, will use the time to bring the stones back into good visual condition.
Third construction phase not until 2026
The third construction phase of the construction project around the St. Martin Church also includes the renovation of the canals on Herrenstrasse. This work will not start until 2026 so that there are no major inner-city traffic disruptions in the anniversary year of 2025.
There, too, the numerous stumbling blocks are carefully removed by the construction yard employees before the construction site is set up.
