On February 16, the participant for the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 was chosen.

The preliminary decision was moderated by Barbara Schöneberger, who had some reading difficulties that evening.

Berlin – The German ESC preliminary decision is over and the candidate for Germany has been chosen.

This year, the show was hosted by presenter Barbara Schöneberger (49), who was also able to announce the winner at the end of the evening - but the 49-year-old had to struggle with a few challenges.

After the moderator opened the envelope with the results, the blonde spoke openly about her problem: “God, that’s in lowercase.

That's 12 points.

“Could I maybe have a…” – and then she stopped.

It is not clear whether the Munich native wanted to have reading glasses brought to her.

But it worked without visual aids and she successfully completed the evening.

Now we're slowly approaching the Eurovision Song Contest final.

For the other preliminary candidates it means saying goodbye to the dream of taking part in this year's edition of the ESC.

Pop singer Marie Reim (23) also had no luck, although her mother Michelle (52) and boyfriend Eric Philippi (27) supported her from the front row.
