A US reporter from Fox News publicly shared a very bold thesis: Because black Americans love sneakers, many will vote for Donald Trump.

caused a media stir with a statement about the upcoming US presidential election.
Raymond Arroyo announced during the TV format “The Big Weekend Show” on Thursday that Donald Trump will win over many black voters because he advertised gold sneakers with a “Trump” initial a few days ago.
“This is a connection to black people in America because they love sneakers,” said Arroyo in a broadcast excerpt that was published on the X platform, among others.

Donald Trump presented limited edition shoes at Sneaker Con in Philadelphia on Saturday (February 17).
The gold sneakers not only have a USA flag printed on them, but also have a large T for “Trump” engraved on them.
The manufacturer offered the shoes for $399.
Within hours of the former US president's personal endorsement, they were already sold out.

“This is a big deal, especially in the inner cities.
So when Trump launches his sneaker collection, they think, 'Wait a minute, that's cool,'" the US reporter explained his statement.
“He reaches them on a level that defies and transcends politics.
Culture always trumps politics.
And Trump understands the culture like no other politician I’ve ever seen.”
When a reporter in the studio asked if he really thought more black Americans would vote for Trump, Arroyo said: "Anybody willing to pay $400 for a pair of sneakers?
Yes, I think that is commitment and love.
That’s something…that’s affection.”

According to the TV reporter, an X user who identifies himself as African-American on the platform questions the current election campaign methods in the USA.
“So Biden is trying to win votes by showing he can eat fried chicken with a black family.
And now Trump thinks we only care about sneakers and that's enough to get black votes.

The sneaker company states on its website that neither Trump personally nor his affiliates “designed, manufactured, distributed or sold” the shoes.
However, the sudden promotion seems to be a major coincidence: after all, it was only on Friday (February 16) that the ex-president was sentenced to pay a fine of more than $350 million within 30 days as part of a civil lawsuit against his Trump corporate empire.
