The resident of a house on Schlierachstrasse in Hausham only left the building briefly.
This was enough for a burglar to make a huge haul - in broad daylight.

- The perpetrator simply went to the back of the house at Schlierachstrasse 18, pried open a balcony door - and then went on the prowl inside.
As the Miesbach police station reports, the break-in took place on Friday, February 23rd, between 10:15 and 11:15 a.m.
Just at the time when the resident had briefly left his house.
The value of the loot is in the four-digit euro range
The thief ransacked cupboards and boxes in several rooms.
According to the police, the victim estimated the value of his loot at a four-digit euro amount.
The perpetrator then sought escape through a door on the ground floor and returned through the garden to Schlierachstrasse.
The corresponding footprints were clearly visible in the freshly fallen snow, the police said.
Officials also point out that the break-in is the second incident of its kind in this area in a short time.

The investigators are now asking for relevant help from the public to clarify the matter.
