Roland Kaiser is celebrating his hit anniversary with a big ZDF show.
Giovanni Zarrella has a very special surprise for him - and it moves him to tears.
Berlin – The “Giovanni Zarrella Show” on February 24, 2024 has a very special motto: “Giovanni Zarrella presents: 50 years of Roland Kaiser”.
However, since the hit show was recorded in December last year, one or two memorable moments find their way onto the internet - including Roland Kaiser's outburst of tears.

This time, the “Giovanni Zarrella Show” focuses on Roland Kaiser’s hit anniversary.
Colleagues and good friends tell stories about him, he performs his greatest hits, people laugh but also cry.
Because Giovanni Zarrella (45) has a special surprise for the pop star: a video message from his children.
They reveal which song from their father they like to hear the most, that not every Kaiser child has inherited the musical talent, and that Roland Kaiser is a “nonsense grandpa”.
Then things get more serious and Roland Kaiser starts to cry.
“Dad is an incredibly loving person with whom I have a very close relationship,” reveals son Jan. “Dad is a role model for me when it comes to social commitment and tolerance towards other people,” says Hendrik.
Jan adds: "When I was little, he always said to me: 'My big goal is that at some point you'll say that I'm your best friend.'
And I can definitely confirm that today.
That's so".

Too much for pop star Roland Kaiser.
After the touching video message from his children, the pop star has to grab a tissue and dry his tears.
“This touches me,” he explains his tears.
“What they say gets under your skin.”
But the video message doesn't just make Roland Kaiser's eyes moist; presenter Giovanni Zarrella is also visibly moved: "You're really a really, really great guy, no joke."
