The head of French diplomacy, Stéphane Séjourné, will pay tribute to four deceased agents of the French Institute in Gaza, we learned on Friday February 23 from the ministry.
“This tribute will be done in private, in the presence of the families of our agents who were able to be welcomed in France, agents of the French Institute who were repatriated from Gaza as well as people who mobilized in support of our agents
,” specifies the ministry.
The ceremony will take place in conjunction with the Jerusalem consulate, adds the Quai.
Since the start of the war between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, provoked by the unprecedented attack of the Palestinian Islamist movement in Israel on October 7, France has managed to evacuate more than 200 people from the Gaza Strip: French , their beneficiaries and agents of the French Institute.
