This is what it should look like in Johanneskirchen with the section of the tram north tangent.

The tram north tangent is delayed.
It will probably not go into operation until 2027 at the earliest. But residents are defending themselves against the plans with a lawyer.
Nothing will happen at the tram construction site in Johanneskirchen this year.
In any case, the municipal utilities do not expect to be able to continue there until January 2025, as SWM project manager Ruth-Beatrice Lang now explained to the Bogenhausen district committee.
According to Lang, no action will likely be taken against the government of Upper Bavaria's (ROB) rejection.
A new tecture should be submitted
The ROB had recently refused permission for preparatory construction work for the tram route on Johanneskirchner Straße - a section of the planned tram north tangent - because there are concerns as to whether the entire project will even be approved in this form.
“We currently have no building rights,” summarized Lang.
All efforts are now being put into the planning approval process.
The new tecture should also be submitted by the end of the month.
“It is currently being completed.”
It was precisely these recent replannings that the ROB criticized.
They had already been announced in November, but the documents were still missing.
So “not even the final planning intended by the applicant” has been determined.
The SWM now does not expect the planning approval decision before autumn.
This planning approval decision could then become legally binding by December.
Residents oppose tram loop
With secure building rights, commissioning is expected in February 2027, said the project manager - provided that no lawsuits with suspensive effect are filed.
However, the residents who oppose the planned tram loop in front of their houses have already hired a lawyer.
The Bogenhauser ÖDP has now requested that the MVG procure trains with two driver's cabs that can extend backwards.
This could save you the reversal loop.
If nothing happens by the end of the year, then the CSU and the Greens want the construction site facilities on Johanneskirchner Straße to be completely dismantled in the meantime.
In addition, the mobility department should take care of accompanying measures, says Samuel Moser (Greens).
“Several no-parking signs have already been cut down here.”
Temporary solution for the grill station
Robert Brannekämper (CSU) requested that the municipal utilities also agree on a temporary solution for the popular barbecue station.
The grill station had to move because of the announced construction work, but has now moved back to its old location.
