At the 50th Inhorgenta in Munich, the trade association drew a positive conclusion: “Luxury is happening.” High-quality jewelry is popular.

At Inhorgenta in Munich, visitors saw chains, brooches, watches and jewelry as far as the eye could see.
At the anniversary exhibition, which took place in February, one thing was clear: the spell is unbroken.
The 50 speakers and six special shows attracted a whopping 24,000 trade visitors over three days.

At the Inhorgenta in Munich, in addition to admiring the pieces of jewelry, it was also about something much simpler: seeing and being seen are important factors in the industry, the exhibition is an integral part of every participant like the bling on their wrist.
Corona and the subsequent crisis have not affected the growth of the industry.
With 870 exhibitors from 37 countries, Inhorgenta has grown by nine percent compared to 2023.
So it is not surprising that the President of the Jewelers Trade Association, Stephan Lindner, emphasized at the opening press conference: “Values and intrinsic value are in. Luxury is on.
The upscale jewelry supports the market.”

Inhorgenta in Munich: The trend is towards high-quality providers
There is also a trend towards high-quality providers; department stores and online retailers in particular have become less attractive.
“The stationary jeweler is the number one point of contact.
The jewelers are becoming fewer, but tending to be larger,” Lindner clarified.
He describes the market situation as “consolidation at a very high level”.

Because the industry makes half a billion more in sales than before the pandemic.
Yellow gold, chains, diamonds and unisex jewelry are particularly popular.
A highlight of the fair is the Fabergé egg.
If you only know this luxury from the classic film “Ocean's 12”, the eggs are an epitome of the highest goldsmith's art and a symbol of prosperity.

The treasures from the tsarist era are decorated with precious stones, pearls, gold and ivory and are considered the most valuable Easter eggs in the world.
Around 42 of these imperial eggs are now distributed around the world in royal families, private collectors and auction houses.
Of course, one thing cannot be missing from a top-class exhibition.
But Munich's Christmas markets also attracted attention with their decadence last winter.
