After his first Bottega Veneta show, two years ago, we stopped by to see Matthieu Blazy backstage - as is customary - to get information on his inspirations and take the pulse of this newcomer to Milan Fashion Week.
A little later in the evening, we played the recording to two sisters who were amazed by this trial run.
They instantly became groupies of the stylist by listening to him speak with accuracy, simplicity and intelligence about his profession, the movement, the clothing, the women and men who wear it.
Two years and four collections later, we found the opportunity to meet the Franco-Belgian creative director, almost 40 years old, in more detail in his Milan office.
If he does not completely avoid journalists like his “master” Martin Margiela in his time, he believes that his collections must speak for him.
