The United States will impose sanctions on hundreds of Russian targets today (Friday), on the occasion of the second anniversary of the outbreak of the war in Ukraine and due to the death last week of opposition leader Alexei Navalny in a Russian prison.
The new sanctions on Moscow and its interests will also be imposed by European countries.
US President Joe Biden said that Russian President Vladimir Putin will continue his "destruction" if he "doesn't pay the price".
