Still no new date for the Senegalese presidential election, but it could be announced next Tuesday, according to the President of the Republic.
Macky Sall spoke Thursday evening during a highly anticipated television interview.

Objective of the consultation: find consensus on a voting date and say who will hold the reins of the country if the new president is not elected by April 2 - the end date of Macky Sall's mandate.
The latter confirmed that he will leave his functions, but also indicated that there will be no power vacuum.
