Supposedly small accident with big consequences: On Wednesday afternoon, a school bus in Erding crashed into a construction yard vehicle.

Erding - It's not so much the minor damage that's causing trouble, but rather the way the bus driver treated his around 100 passengers, all of them schoolchildren.

A mother complained to our newspaper.

The company concerned is striving to provide maximum information.

The accident occurred around 1:30 p.m. at the junction of Bajuwarenstrasse and Münchener Strasse.

The Larcher bus from Markt Schwaben was on the way to Forstern.

The outer pane of the door broke during the impact, Larcher managing director Thomas Harant confirmed when asked by our newspaper.

He emphasizes that the bus was only traveling at walking speed.

Both drivers exchanged addresses and the bus company's accident manager was on site a short time later.

Harant reports that colleagues were unable to locate any injured children.

“Nobody reported anything about it.” The manager explains that the vehicle was occupied by 100 children, but they were all standing behind the barrier.

The mother of an eleven-year-old says she heard that several children had crashed into windows due to the emergency braking.

Some reacted in panic.

She herself picked up her child in pies, frightened.

The woman from Forstern accuses the driver of not caring about the passengers and not making an announcement.

What also surprises her: “Why weren’t the police called?” The Larcher managing director replies that neither the driver nor the emergency manager saw the need to call the police due to the minimal consequences.

Harant goes on to say that a mother came forward after the incident.

“We will get in touch with her.” Basically, the company very much regretted the incident.

“We apologize for the inconvenience caused,” said Harant.
