This time, the “crime scene” from Dortmund deals with the football gambling mafia.
The focus of the action is also on a betting shop operator who will be familiar to many television viewers.
Dortmund – In the new “crime scene” from Dortmund, abysses once again open up: It’s about murder, gambling addiction and, last but not least, the dark side that football can sometimes bring with it.
Jan Pawlak (Rick Okon, 34) also feels this firsthand.
For the investigator in the current case (“Cash”) it’s over again after 13 episodes.
He is leaving the successful crime series, which he joined in 2018.
Before that, however, viewers learn all sorts of personal things about the character who is leaving the series.
This is not the first time Sahin Eryilmaz has appeared in “Tatort”.
Because the young colleague of Chief Inspector Peter Faber (Jörg Hartmann, 54) has a betting addiction firmly in its grip.
Accordingly, the Dortmund “Tatort” takes place in precisely this milieu.
Of all places, a murder occurs in the vicinity of the betting shop where Jan Pawlak pursues his gambling addiction.
However, operator Alkim Celik (Sahin Eryilmaz, 40), the dead man's brother-in-law, swears that the crime has no connection with his business.
This betting shop operator should look familiar to attentive “Tatort” fans: Sahin Eryilmaz is one of the recurring actors in the series: In 2013, he appeared for the first time as Ismal Astan, a clan member, in Til Schweiger’s (60) “Tatort” Debut (“Welcome to Hamburg”) could be seen.
He returned to this role in 2014 (“Bounty”) and 2016 (“The Great Pain”) before the Cologne-trained actor appeared in a total of five more episodes of the cult crime thriller from 2017.
But then in different roles.
“Cash” is now his eighth “Tatort” participation.
Sahin Eryilmaz was in these “Tatort” episodes
2013: Crime Scene: Welcome to Hamburg
2014: Crime Scene: Bounty
2016: Crime Scene: The Great Pain
2017: Crime Scene: Evil Ground
2020: Crime Scene: Borowski and the Curse of the White Seagull
2021: Crime Scene: The Allure of Evil
2022: Crime Scene: The Victim
2023: Crime Scene: Cash
“Tatort” actor Sahin Eryilmaz can be seen regularly in cinemas and television
But Sahin Eryilmaz was also able to demonstrate his acting talent away from the “crime scene”: for example, he appeared in smaller roles in the successful cinema productions “The Medicus” (2013) and “Honey in the Head” (2014).
In addition, from 2015 to 2017 he appeared in 22 episodes of the VOX drama series “Club der Roten Ribbons” as nurse Deniz “Dietz”.
The Cologne native with Turkish roots is currently starring in the ZDF crime film series “Theresa Wolff”, including in its current edition “Dreck!”, which recently celebrated its TV premiere on February 3, 2024.

It remains to be seen how ARD viewers will like the betting mafia drama in Dortmund.
Because not every episode works right away.
The last “crime scene” from Göttingen clearly divided the audience.
