The “Tatort” on Sunday evening on ARD usually rounds off the TV week.
This time, however, crime fans have to change.
Berlin – “Tatort” has been part of German television since 1970.
The ARD crime series is usually broadcast on Sunday evenings.
In the past few weeks, the investigative teams from different cities have taken turns.
But anyone who tunes in next Sunday (February 25th) and expects the “crime scene” will be disappointed.
Instead, other police officers are on duty.
No “Tatort” on Sunday: it’s on ARD instead
Just about a week ago, a TV commissioner celebrated his farewell.
Rick Okon (34) was seen one last time as a “crime scene” investigator in Dortmund.
This Sunday (February 25th), however, there will be no new episode at all.
Instead of a “Tatort” edition, ARD is showing a new “Polizeiruf 110” episode.
But tension is still required.
In the episode “Thieves” in , the Rostock team is on duty and investigates a supposed household accident in a single-family home, which quickly turns out to be a fake accidental death.
Investigator Melly Böwe (Lina Beckmann) becomes dangerously emotionally close to the suspect.
One-time exception?

However, “Polizeiruf 110” does not permanently replace the “crime scene”.
The following Sunday (March 3rd) everything is back to normal and ARD shows “Tatort: Borowski and the Revenant”.
In it, the Kiel duo Klaus Borowski (Axel Milberg) and Mila Sahin (Almila Bagriacik) investigate a missing person case: the notoriously unfaithful Tobias Exner (Pétur Óskar) plans to murder his wife with an internet acquaintance, but then disappears himself.

All sorts of familiar faces have been seen in the history of the “Tatort”.
In 1977, Nastassja Kinski starred in “Maturity Certificate”.
However, Kinski is now taking action against the “crime scene” because of problematic scenes.
