Emmanuel Macron asked, on February 1, the European Commission to quickly put on the table measures to simplify the new common agricultural policy (CAP).
Brussels unveiled them at the end of the week, before the president went to the Agricultural Show this Saturday.
The President of the Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, was keen to emphasize that she stands with European farmers,
“fully determined to provide solutions to alleviate the pressure currently weighing on hard-working women and men” .
From there to thinking that “VDL”, now officially a candidate for a second term as President of the Commission and who will need the support of France to be reappointed, is flying to the aid of the Head of State, there is no just one step.
