Mild temperatures characterized the weather in February.
Will there be a winter comeback in March?
Meteorologist Dominik Jung gives an outlook on the first few days.
Frankfurt – Rays of sunshine and pleasant temperatures: In the exceptionally mild February, the first feelings of spring appeared.
Winter weather seems to be a thing of the past for now.
According to meteorologist Dominik Jung from

, “a late winter break” is not to be expected.
With regard to temperatures, he also draws attention to a changed forecast.
The weather in Germany is mild – and it should stay that way
Whether south, north, or middle: the March weather should show its mild side.
“In short: Relatively little will happen in terms of weather in the next ten to 14 days,” summarized Jung on Friday (February 23), with a view to the ensemble forecast.
Without any major outliers, there should be “temperatures around ten degrees” in northern Germany until March 9th.
According to Jung, the ensemble forecast showed something similar for the west, south and east.
“March-winter is apparently not an issue at all, at least until March 9th.”

Something similar can be seen from the 10-day weather forecast from the German Weather Service (DWD).
The experts write: “Unstable and mild, with no major significant weather risks.” The forecast predicts the weather until March 3rd.
“Germany colored orange” – weather forecast for March changes
The temperature deviations for the month also show that wintry weather in March is “apparently not an issue at all, at least until March 9th”.
The corresponding weather map was colored white a few days ago, explained Jung.
“So it should have been a completely normal March,” he explained the meaning of the color.
“Now almost all of Germany is colored at least a little bit orange.
And that means: a little milder than usual,” explained the expert.

“So, the forecast has been revised upwards slightly.
“This month could land 0.5 to one degree above the climate average for the years 1991 to 2020,” explained Jung.
A cool March is not in sight.
However, the expert recently did not expect an overly mild spring overall.
