After clashes between police and farmers at the Agricultural Show, Emmanuel Macron called for calm and chose to debate Saturday February 24 in a small group with representatives of several unions, but on a secure floor and far from the demonstrators.
One of the president's interlocutors wanted to address the subject of suicide, specifying that he himself “
almost took action
” in August.

There is a farmer who commits suicide every two days in France, including young people.
So we have to move very quickly (…) We need cash quickly because it cannot last long
,” he declared, facing the President of the Republic.

The free-range chicken producer entrusted the tenant of the Élysée to work around a hundred hours per week.
