Two years already, since February 24, 2022, when Russian tanks entered Ukraine.

If kyiv benefited from unwavering support from the West in the first days of the invasion, fatigue threatens Western opinions.

US military aid remains blocked in the US Congress, while Trump promises to put a permanent end to it if he returns to business.

Europe has succeeded in releasing the 50 billion euro aid envelope after several weeks of blockages.

But opinion fatigue looms, as highlighted in the latest study by ECFR, the European Council for International Relations.

Europeans are increasingly pessimistic about the outcome of the war: 10% now think that Ukraine can win, compared to 20% of respondents who think that Russia will achieve its goals.

Furthermore, more than a third of them (27%) think that the war will end with a compromise.
