Some 10% of Italian teenagers have social-media mental problems, the Higher Health Institute (ISS) said in a report as part of the World Health Organization's Health Behavior in School-aged Children (HBSC) survey Saturday.
The report said four out of five Italian adolescents use socialmedia every day and one in 10 risked developing "problematicuse".
It said girls were more at risk than boys but male teenagers developed unhealthy dependencies on video games.
