2 / 8Walk in Snow White's footsteps and do it for free: it's possible in Lohr am Main.

At the Snow White Rally, anyone interested can find out everything about the “real” Snow White and her seven dwarfs.

There are questions to be answered at various points in the city.

Anyone who fills out the rally questionnaire correctly can even take part in a raffle.

4 / 8You can also learn about the history of Germany completely free of charge.

Admission to the concentration camp memorial in Dachau near Munich is free.

The memorial is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Of course, guided tours cost money and should be booked in advance.

5 / 8The hike through the Leutaschklamm in the border forest between Bavaria and Tyrol is free.

The path is about three kilometers long and takes about an hour and a half to walk; the legend of the gorge spirit is told along the way.

If you also want to climb the waterfall path, you have to pay an entrance fee: 3 euros for adults, 2 euros for children.

6 / 8In many museums in Munich, entry costs only one euro on Sundays.

The Alte Pinakothek, the Pinakothek der Moderne and the Egyptian Museum, among others, can be visited for little money.

Especially if you are not sure whether the exhibitions in the museums are of your interest, you can use Sunday to explore them.

7 / 8Day trippers can watch cute squirrels and go fishing for free in the squirrel forest.

The rodents, which are otherwise so shy, are familiar with the heavy traffic of visitors and are therefore unusually trusting.

Some can even be fed with walnuts, sunflower seeds, apples or carrot pieces.

The forest can be easily reached with the Regiobahn via Kempten to Fischen, from there it's a five-minute walk.

8 / 8If you like to leave the surface of the earth and be enchanted by an impressive cave landscape, the King Otto stalactite cave in Velburg between Regensburg and Nuremberg is the right place for you.

And best of all: the cave can be explored alone without an entrance fee.

You only have to pay one euro to take photos.
