Animal protection activists are planning a large demonstration against animals in the circus.
It's supposed to start on Saturday, March 2nd, at Stachus.
Munich - Animals are currently legal in Germany's circuses: This is exactly what activists will take to the streets of Munich on Saturday, March 2nd.
It should start at 12 p.m. at Stachus, reports the animal protection organization Animals United.
Under the motto “animal-free circus”, a large number of organizations, including Peta Germany and the Munich Animal Welfare Association, have come together for the large demonstration.

Animal rights activists protest against wild animal shows in circuses
Activists are calling for an end to the use of animals in the circus industry.
In particular, the “Circus Krone” empire, Europe's largest circus company based in Munich, is the focus of criticism.
Big cats, elephants and other animals would be used here to entertain the audience.
A stopover for the rally is therefore planned directly on the circus grounds.
Alternative concepts such as the “Circus Roncalli” have long since shown, by forgoing wild animal shows, that the value and demands of traditional circus art are still retained, according to Animals United.
This is achieved, among other things, through the use of “imposing holograms”.
Various speeches are planned for the demonstration; according to reports from
t-online.de
, the journalist and TV presenter Florian Weiss will also be there.
A food truck will offer vegan dishes.
