Fürstenfeldbruck district - The Caritas spring collection in Munich and Upper Bavaria begins on Sunday, February 25th with church services and church collections for the Caritas of the Catholic Church.

From February 26th to March 3rd, volunteers will again personally ask for a donation to Community Caritas at front doors in the Fürstenfeldbruck district.

The proceeds from the collection remain on site.

The parish receives 40 percent and the Caritas Center Fürstenfeldbruck receives 60 percent.

All collectors who are traveling on behalf of Caritas can identify themselves.

Every donation helps

Twice a year, in spring and autumn, Caritas collects donations at doorsteps and on the streets.

Thousands of volunteer collectors are out in Munich and Upper Bavaria asking for donations.

In the regions or streets for which there are not enough volunteer collectors, donation letters from the parish are often dropped in. “Our Caritas specialist services need every donation for social advice, regardless of whether it is in the collection, in cash at the front door, or by bank transfer or handed in at the parish office,” explains Caritas director Prof. Dr.

Hermann Sollfrank.

“Even small amounts can alleviate great suffering.

Let us stand up against increasing poverty.

So that the world becomes more social and fair.” On behalf of the Munich-Freising Diocesan Caritas Association, he would like to thank all donors and volunteers for their trust and social commitment.

Caritas supports people in emergency situations

Thanks to the help of numerous donors, Caritas is taking concrete action against poverty and social inequality.

“It can happen to anyone and everyone – suddenly you find yourself in a personal crisis.

Then Caritas in the city and in the districts is often the first point of contact for people who find themselves in an acute emergency.

We help, support and advise, regardless of age, origin or religious affiliation, always with a targeted focus and based on the respective situation of the people in need of help.

For example, through a financial injection for a senior citizen to get urgently needed glasses,” reports the Caritas board chairman.
