Mayor Verena Reithmann took time to explain projects.

Apparently there are few dissatisfied people in the community of Icking.

Dorfen - The designation of a new commercial area, progress in municipal heat planning and the new construction or renovation of the fire station in Dorfen: Mayor Verena Reithmann took a lot of time on Wednesday evening to inform the around 90 visitors in the clubhouse about upcoming projects.

District Administrator Josef Niedermaier also provided information about the accommodation of asylum seekers and denounced the difficulty of implementing cycle path projects.

The fact that only a few citizens spoke up after the lectures and no motion was submitted still seemed surprising.

Niedermaier initially praised the people of Ickingen for their willingness to cooperate in accepting refugees.

In contrast to other communities in the district, he does not have to “play the mediator” here.

Preparations for the construction of the new double gymnasium at the primary school are also underway in close coordination with the district office.

There was good news for S-Bahn commuters plagued by delays and train cancellations.

Niedermaier has learned that the widely separated outer branches of the S7 – Wolfratshausen and Kreuzstrasse – will soon be separated.

This would mean that the train would only travel to Munich city center and the risk of delays would be minimized.

However, the immediate two-lane expansion of the partially single-track route is just as difficult to implement as the construction of a cycle path to the neighboring community of Schäftlarn.

“Unfortunately, the personal interests of the property owners have prevented many projects,” the district administrator regretted.

Expropriations for cycle paths?

Possibly legally justifiable - district administrator: “There would be bad blood”

Mayor Verena Reithmann even considers partial expropriations to be legally justifiable in the interests of the common good.

“That would be no fun and would cause bad blood,” predicted Niedermaier.

In fact, the head of the town hall received more than just applause for her initiative in Dorfen.

Some citizens pointed out that many racing cyclists would prefer to use the road instead of cycle paths anyway.

However, Reithmann's comments on municipal heat planning, which was made much easier by a recently received funding commitment from the federal government, remained uncommented.

Nothing stands in the way of a comprehensive inventory and potential analysis of the use of renewable energies in the districts.

Thanks to solar thermal energy, waste heat, biomass, near-surface geothermal energy and river water, Reithmann estimates that an annual minimum generation capacity of 2,354 kilowatts (kW) and an energy feed-in of 5,100 megawatt hours (MWh) could be achieved per year.

A new commercial area is to be created: companies can be located next to the B11

The community also wants to tackle other major projects.

The new construction or renovation of the fire station in Dorfen, which is in need of renovation, should be completed by 2027 at the latest.

The designation of a new commercial area on the Dorfen corn field next to the B11 can be expected a little earlier.

The mayor called for a collection of ideas from citizens to redevelop a municipal property on Attenhauser Strasse.

It would be possible to build a playground here.

Mood killer on the road: Potholes cause frustration

In the end, the number of requests to speak remained manageable.

Ludwig Mock wanted the potholes on Meilenberger Strasse to be removed.

Reithmann was able to understand his anger at these “mood killers” and promised an early renovation.

Helmut Jäger felt like “a complete idiot” because he paid for the leak test for property drainage systems suggested by the municipality for homeowners and others shirked their responsibility.

According to Reithmann, around 22 percent of the community's citizens have not yet responded to this request.

Due to the currently overloaded craftsmen's companies, there were delays.
