Verbal faux pas by Donald Trump in a broadcast about the 2024 US election: The Democrats see their chance and exploit the incident for the election campaign.
Washington – Donald Trump, former US President and mentally probably already back in the White House, is regularly making headlines in the election campaign for the 2024 US election.
Be it because of NATO statements or crude comparisons in connection with Navalny's death.
Now the 77-year-old was a guest on a Fox News talk show and made headlines with a statement.
Trump accidentally announced that he wanted to trigger a crime wave in the US capital.
The ridicule was not long in coming and the Democrats used the alleged Freudian slip of the tongue for their own election campaign.
Donald Trump stands out with a slip of the tongue: Democrats are using faux pas to campaign for the 2024 US election
The primaries for the 2024 US election are underway and with Super Tuesday on March 5th, the race for the role of the top candidate is heading towards its climax.
Donald Trump currently has a good chance of running as the Republican presidential candidate against Joe Biden in the US elections.
The 77-year-old not only polarizes and divides US politics.
After Donald Trump sparked sudden questions about geopolitical security with his statement about NATO a few days ago, the European Union's defense capability and nuclear deterrence are being seriously discussed.
The fact that Donald Trump continues to enjoy great support among the US population despite his ongoing court cases and legal defeats will probably not change as a result of future missteps.
Nevertheless: In the election campaign for the 2024 US election, the democratic camp is using every opportunity to discredit the 77-year-old or to question his mental sanity.
However, current polls on the US election show that Trump is doing worse than Biden.
“Will take over Washington”: Donald Trump promises himself in a talk show about the US election
During his appearance on the “Fox News Town Hall” program last Tuesday, February 20th, Donald Trump once again provided a template that could very likely determine the political leaders against the Republicans in the coming days.
“We’re going to take over Washington, DC,” Trump said, adding: “We’re going to have very high crime.
And you will be proud of it again.
We will remove the graffiti from the beautiful marble columns, the swastikas from the columns, and we will make it beautiful again.”
A short excerpt from the show is currently being shared by numerous accounts on social networks.
Predominantly Trump critics and Joe Biden's campaign supporters took the opportunity to ridicule the former US president for his faux pas in the current phase before the US election.
Donald Trump confused?
Republicans regularly use Joe Biden's health for verbal attacks
Not only was there great ridicule after Trump's statement on the talk show, but the debate about his mental fitness flared up again.
The Republican himself has been using Joe Biden's appearances for some time now, in which the current US President stands out with confusing statements.
Trump's thesis: Joe Biden is not mentally capable of running for another term due to his age.
However, Trump's health also regularly gives rise to wild speculation.

Donald Trump talks about crime - and promises himself at a crucial point
It is unclear how Donald Trump's crime statements came about during the talk show.
However, the Republican previously spoke of US cities that are plagued by crime above average.
Trump saw the reasons here primarily in the democratic leadership in the affected regions.
According to
Newsweek,
he then devoted himself specifically to crime in Washington.
“There are people coming from South Carolina,” Trump told moderator Laura Ingraham.
“They want to go see the Washington Monument or something, and they end up getting shot in Washington DC.
You know it better than anyone, it's dangerous.” Trump then went on to list his suggestions for improvement before concluding with his crime statement.
Impact of Trump's statement in the US election campaign uncertain
What impact Donald Trump's statement could have on the 2024 US election campaign will probably become apparent in the coming days.
It cannot be ruled out that the Republican knows how to use the current reporting to his own advantage.
As the primaries inch toward Super Tuesday on March 5, Trump's rival, Nikki Haley, remains combative.
As the Wall Street Journal
reported, among others
, many US media recently assumed that she would give up the election campaign.
Not at all: Haley apparently still sees chances against Trump and is probably hoping for a final decision at the ballot box.
