after an argument at her home in the Buenos Aires town of Merlo.

As a result, the representative of the Public Prosecutor's Office (MPF) immediately ordered the arrest of Romero as the main suspect in the femicide.
Meanwhile, she also ordered the arrest of Ignacio Bravo, a friend of Romero, for the crime of "cover-up."

Romero refused to testify
and will remain detained for the crime of "aggravated homicide because the victim is a woman with whom he has had a relationship with gender violence, committed with a firearm and illegal carrying of a weapon of war."
