Berlin – Five years have passed and there is still no trace: Rebecca Reusch disappeared on February 18, 2018.
The girl from Berlin has been missing since then.
Rebecca's brother-in-law remains a suspect.
He is presumed innocent.
The young person stayed in the house with him and her sister on the night of February 18th.
He denies having anything to do with the then 15-year-old's disappearance.
A friend of the brother-in-law now comes into focus.

A video from the day of Rebecca's disappearance recently attracted attention.
This was sent
to the investigators by
Bild in autumn 2023.
The public prosecutor confirmed this.
A surveillance camera from the neighborhood recorded a pink Renault Twingo - similar to the brother-in-law's car.
He drove down the street near Rebecca's sister's house at 7:24 a.m. and came back after 46 minutes.
“We know the video, we have evaluated it and there are no new insights from it.”

The public prosecutor's office said on Sunday (February 18) that there was no new status on the missing person case.
On the day of Rebecca's disappearance, the Twingo was registered on the A12 between Berlin and Frankfurt (Oder) in the direction of Poland.
The brother-in-law initially claimed that he had not left the house that day.
Witnesses said they saw the brother-in-law's car in a forest in Kummersdorf in Brandenburg.

Now the tabloid is reporting on two arbors and associated properties.
These are said to be in a forest on Wolziger Weg (also Kummersdorf) and belong or have belonged to a friend of the brother-in-law.
According to the newspaper's information, the police searched the affected area of forest at the time - but not the arbors or the property.

According to
Bild,
when handing over the video, Bild pointed out a possible connection between the arcades and the missing person case to the police and public prosecutor's office.
The Berlin public prosecutor's office told the newspaper that "the findings related to the property would be subjected to more detailed examination."
It would then be decided whether further measures would follow.

, the Berlin public prosecutor's office confirmed that the matter was currently being clarified.
What was known so far: Bungalow in a forest and an encounter with a man
In fact, a bungalow was already linked to the missing person case.
Three riders had an encounter with a man in a forest (also in Kummersdorf) on February 18, 2019.
When he saw the three women, he walked much faster.
He was almost between branches and bushes

One of the three reported this in a podcast.
They couldn't see the man's face.
The police contacted her several times about the encounter, she said.
The investigators took the sighting very seriously.
They also mentioned that a friend of Rebecca's brother-in-law owned a bungalow in exactly this settlement.
There was no talk of two arbors back then.
