The nautical shipbuilding district of the Porto Canale of Cagliari is preparing to host the production facilities.


   Last Thursday saw the publication of the "Notice of preliminary market consultation aimed at evaluating expressions of interest from operators in the sector" for the release of maritime property concessions in the compendium.

A market stimulation which will concern the entire state property, made up of 174 thousand and 700 square meters of uncovered areas and related docks and divided into 13 lots grouped into 4 categories.


    The first, type A, will be intended for settlements dedicated to the construction, refitting, repair and maintenance of pleasure and sports vessels exceeding 50 meters in length, including complementary activities such as marketing and storage.

Types B and C, however, will host the same activities, but for smaller boats.

Lastly, type D settlements, intended for engine repairs, electrical and electronic system installation, manufacturing and repair of textile articles, metal articles, small parts, navigation instruments and lighting equipment.


    The expression of interest by aspiring dealers may concern one or more lots, as long as they are contiguous.


   For those areas classified in types A and B, the adjacent bodies of water are also subject to concession.

The production activities will have to provide for infrastructure interventions, such as, for example, the paving of the lots and the construction of the buildings.


    For this first phase of evaluation of expressions of interest, the AdSP will take into account the project proposals for the arrangement of the areas, the management and organization plan of the activity, experience in the sector, expected employment levels and the economic offer linked to the extension of the property to be approved. in concession which, by law, is currently set at just over 1.70 euros per square meter per year.

Amount which, in the case of competing applications, will constitute the basis on which to make the increase.

Finally, the concession title cannot exceed 40 years.


    Expressions of interest must be received by AdSPentro by 12.00 on 8 April next, by uploading the documentation to the online platform which can be reached directly from the institutional web page (https://albi.adspmaredisardegna.it/list/tender/manifestazioni-interest).

Once an initial evaluation of the proposals has been carried out, the Authority will invite interested parties to submit, within 60 days, a formal request for state concession which will subsequently be published for the acquisition of any opposition or competing requests.


    "What has just been published is a market stimulation which will allow us to collect, with the widest possible publicity and transparency, all possible expressions of interest from operators in the shipbuilding and pleasure boating service sectors - explains Massimo Deiana, President of the AdSP of Mare di Sardegna - Our objective is to welcome all those production companies capable of guaranteeing effective and efficient use of the complex, so that it can become a center of excellence in the Mediterranean".
