The penalty will come into force from September 1st: Anyone who regularly picks up their children late from a childcare facility, such as the St. Christophorus kindergarten here, will be forcibly sorted into a more expensive group by the municipality.

In Grasbrunn, mothers and fathers are always late picking up their children from daycare.
The community is now reacting to this and punishing the parents.
Grasbrunn - For years, the managers of daycare centers in Grasbrunn have been complaining about parents who don't pick up their children on time.
After numerous warnings, the community is now taking more drastic measures and will ask these parents to pay financially.
In addition, meal fees also increase for everyone.
When booking, all parents sign that they must always bring their children to the daycare centers on time and pick them up again from there.
However, some parents regularly and repeatedly violate this agreement and do not adjust their childcare times even when requested.
“I think this is very unfair behavior on the part of these parents,” said Mayor Klaus Korneder (SPD) in the main committee.
“We have to offer staff for the children who are picked up significantly late.
Everyone else has to pay these additional costs.” Therefore, from September 1st they want to force these “unteachable” parents into a longer and therefore more expensive booking period.

Kita in Grasbrunn: Meal money will also be increased
The meal fees will be increased for everyone from five to six euros per day.
According to a calculation of the costs for staff and food from 2022 in the Kinderhaus Harthausen and Kinderwelt Grasbrunn facilities, where fresh cooking is carried out, the meal fee should have been increased to 6.50 to 7 euros in order to almost cover the costs.
This calculation did not even include the operating costs including electricity and water, as these apply to the entire facility and cannot be separated out for the kitchen.
For the Honigblume kindergarten, which is supplied by the Asenbrunner communal catering company, a meal currently costs 4.40 euros plus personnel costs for a kitchen employee and operating costs.
To better offset these costs, the administration proposed increasing the meal fee by one euro to 6 euros for all children.
The increase in the meal allowance increases the community's income by around 60,000 euros per year.
The main committee unanimously decided on the increase and the introduction of penalty fees.
