Better late than never: Pop singer Roland Kaiser and his wife Silvia are currently on their honeymoon - almost 30 years after their wedding.
Berlin - Roland Kaiser (71) is one of the most successful pop stars ever.
This year the singer is celebrating his 50th stage anniversary and is going on a big open-air tour.
Things couldn't be better for the musician in his private life either: he has been married to his wife Silvia (58) since 1996.
The couple is still as happy as the first day and has a real picture-perfect marriage.

Fortunately, one thing was missing for the two of them so far: they never went on their honeymoon.
28 years later, this is now being made up for: The Berliner and his wife are currently on the high seas, exploring foreign waters on the luxury liner Queen Victoria.
“We always dreamed of traveling around the world,” reveals Roland Kaiser in an interview with
Bunte,
“but as it happens, Silvia and I somehow lost sight of it at some point.”
Over the years he eventually completely forgot about the honeymoon.
But then his wife surprised him with an announcement.
"Silvia said to me over coffee: 'Honey, we're going on a trip around the world!'
She couldn't sleep at night, sat down at the computer and then came across the Queen Victoria.
'It starts on January 9th, 2024!'” reports the 71-year-old.
Roland Kaiser celebrates his wedding anniversary “somewhere on the Pacific”
On Friday (February 23), the couple will celebrate their 28th wedding anniversary, which is sure to be unforgettable.
“Then we’ll sail around somewhere on the Pacific,” says Roland Kaiser happily.
It is the first time that the pop star has taken a longer break.

The couple is currently exploring an impressive 32 destinations on the cruise ship in 111 days.
“If someone had asked me ten years ago whether I could imagine being in Guatemala, the Fiji Islands or Samoa, I would certainly have laughed,” admits the “Joana” interpreter.
His stage anniversary was celebrated with a big show.
There, Giovanni Zarrella even made Roland Kaiser cry.
