Walchstadt residents complain about parked cars.
A traffic planner should now develop a concept.
Walchstadt
– Parked streets are causing a lot of trouble for residents in Walchstadt.
In a letter to the community they complain about the parking situation.
Wörthsee's local council decided this week to commission the traffic planner to create a concept.
In the meeting presentation, managing director Christa Heintel pointed out that the problem was also homemade.
“It can be seen that these are mainly residents who park their vehicles on the public street,” says Heintel.
From the administration's point of view, it is not effective to order parking bans without a concept.
Gerald Grobbel (Greens) lives in the area himself.
“I would like to ask you to clarify this as soon as possible,” he said.
“We have often given something to the planner.
It should be faster.” Robert Wihan (FW) suggested adding markings like those on the side streets in Herrsching.
“We should say: This is what we want.
If the planner says that this is not possible, we should not give up.
Because it works elsewhere too.”
Peter Hopmann (WA) found that the matter was not just a Walchstadt problem: “It would be an opportunity to look at the entire municipal area.
We've been putting this off for years." Markings and parking machines are possible, "and also profitable."
Jakob Aumiller (CSU) warned not to “put up a thousand signs” again and to also include farmers in the concept.
“And the fire brigade,” as parliamentary group colleague Carina Bedacht noted, “they also have an issue.”
Mayor Christel Muggenthal wants to tackle the matter “step by step”.
The costs for the markings would also have to be clarified first.
Johanna Benz (WA) suggested simply asking the neighboring community.
The decision to commission the traffic planner was unanimous.
