Two 17-year-old students are sentenced to youth prison for attempted murder.
They injured a 21-year-old so badly after the Indersdorf carnival parade that he barely survived.
Markt Indersdorf/Munich – The Munich II Regional Court has sentenced two 17-year-old students to youth sentences of three years and three months and two and a half years for attempted murder and grievous bodily harm.
As reported, a year ago after a carnival event in Indersdorf, the boys injured a 21-year-old so badly at the S-Bahn station that he only survived through luck.
The trial took place completely behind closed doors because both defendants were minors at the time of the crime.
What ultimately led to the argument that February night remained unknown.
All that is certain is that one of the two young men hit the victim and the second then hit him in the neck with a broken bottle.
Luckily, a nurse happened to be on site and started to stop the bleeding - and luckily the cut didn't hit the carotid artery, which was just a centimeter away.
But the fact that the 21-year-old narrowly escaped death when his neck was cut really took a toll on him psychologically.
The court deliberated for several days.
The charges were attempted manslaughter and grievous bodily harm.
While the main defendant, who committed the stab with the broken bottle neck, was currently in custody, the co-defendant, Spezl, followed the trial as a free man.
However, other convictions from the Dachau District Court were included in his verdict.
In terms of criminal law, the young person is not a blank slate.
The main defendant was located near the crime scene shortly after the attack.
A police helicopter had circled over Markt Indersdorf.
Another helicopter to treat the injured landed on the nearby sports field.
However, the victim was able to be taken to the hospital with a Sanka.
