Despite the return grants and the Home Front Command's announcement that it is possible to return to Sderot, some of the city's residents are still afraid of returning there, and intend to stay in hotels.
"The situation is still scary, Sderot is still not safe," they claim.
"I'm still scared, every beep or movement of the door I jump," shared Madeleine, a resident of the city.
"I don't think Sderot is safe. My daughter returned there a month ago, and says that you can feel the fear of all the people there."
According to her, until she is not obliged to return to her home, she intends to stay in the hotel.
"There is still a red color sometimes in Sderot," she added, "because of the fear and apprehension, I prefer not to return to my city now."
"The city is still empty."

Another evacuee, Broria Dadon, who has been staying in a hotel in Jerusalem for several months, said that she spent last Shabbat in Sderot at her home, and this morning she left the city again: "The city is still empty, it hasn't returned to normal yet."
She shared that "we are afraid to return to the city regularly, because the situation still scares me. Yesterday there were strong explosions and we just woke up in the middle of the night. How can you live in the city like this? It is impossible to return to Sderot right now, I decided to stay in the hotel. It is still not safe for me to return to Sderot ".
