50 years of young farmers and 100 years of association for agricultural training: that was something to celebrate at the weekend.
600 guests gathered in the festively decorated hall.
The associations welcomed Agriculture Minister Michaela Kaniber as a keynote speaker.

– It was the “big class reunion”, as announced in advance by the Association for Agricultural Education (vlf) and the Fürstenfeldbruck Young Farmers’ Association.
Around 600 guests, including everyone who has a reputation in agriculture, as well as numerous guests of honor from politics, came to farmer Martin Neheider's festively decorated warehouse on Saturday.
It would easily have stood up to any comparison with an Oktoberfest tent.
There were two reasons to celebrate: on the one hand, the 100th anniversary of the founding of the vlf and on the other hand, the 50th anniversary of the Bruck Young Farmers' Association.
Much to the delight of both associations, vlf chairman Josef Mayer and the chairman of the young farmers' association, Andreas Schmid, were able to welcome Bavaria's Minister of Agriculture, Michaela Kaniber, as a keynote speaker.
In their speech, the two chairmen reviewed the history of the two associations.
Andreas Schmid's guests learned that the young farmers' association has actually existed for 54 years.
It was founded in December 1969 by 40 members in the Marthabräukeller in Brucker.
However, from 1986 to 2005 the young farmers were dormant because there was no board of directors.
Honors for years of commitment: Josef Hartl (front row, 2nd from left) and Irmgard Wörle (2nd from right) were presented with the silver association badge and a certificate for their activities within the association.

Today the young farmers' community consists of around 230 members who come from more than just agriculture, said Schmid.
He is proud that he can now lead a club with so many young, open-minded and interested members.
The vlf was also called the alumni association as an association of former students of the agricultural school.
It was founded in 1924, two years after the agricultural school in Bruck opened its doors, reported Josef Mayer.
Words of praise from the minister
In 1951 the agricultural school moved to a new building on Bismarckstrasse in Bruck and again in 2010 to the Green Center in Puch.
As part of a realignment, the school was closed in 2021.
The home economics school will continue in Puch.
With 1,020 members, the vlf is now one of the largest clubs in the district, says Mayer.

Minister Kaniber had words of praise for the associations and their chairmen, who led them with great enthusiasm.
She is happy how on the one hand the old, the wise, the clever and on the other hand the young, the wild, the cheeky come together.
In her speech, Kaniber also praised the farmers' protests.
“You were not only the tip of the spear, but also encouraged others to say that things cannot continue like this in our country.”
Irmgard Wörle and Josef Hartl were also honored at the ceremony with the silver association badge for their long-standing commitment to the vlf.
Wörle was a member of the vlf main committee for ten years and women's chairwoman for ten years.
Hartl was on the main committee for 20 years, including 15 years as second board member.
“Jada Musi” from Rottbach provided the musical backdrop and Monika Walch and Franz Oberauer provided the entertainment with two Gestanzl performances.
