On video: Gallant: "Hamas is looking for a replacement for Sinwar"/ Defense Minister Communications
Defense Minister Yoav Galant today held an operational situation assessment at the Northern Command base, and claimed that he intends to continue attacking Hezbollah, regardless of a hostage deal that may also include a cessation of hostilities in the Gaza Strip.
"If there is anyone here who thinks that when we reach a deal to release hostages in the south and the fire stops temporarily, this thing will ease what is happening here, he is wrong. We will increase the fire in the north independently, and we will continue until the full withdrawal of Hezbollah and the return of the residents to their homes."
Gallant said these things at the end of the evaluation, which was attended by the commander of the command, Major General Uri Gordin, Major General Moti Baruch and the headquarters officers of the command: "We are hurting the activists, we are hurting the commanders of Hezbollah, and they are looking for replacements and I can tell you that I don't see any volunteers, everyone is afraid. We will continue and cripple them."

However, Gallant did not rule out the possibility of withdrawing the terrorist organization from the Lebanese border also through diplomatic means: "We are hurting the activists, we are hurting the commanders of Hezbollah, and they are looking for replacements and I can tell you that I don't see any volunteers, everyone is afraid. We will continue and disable them.
