The Dietersheim fire department is recording a growing number of members, more deployments and a high number of hours worked.

There is also a new position on the board.

Dietersheim

– “Today it takes longer,” said a veteran firefighter in view of the 15-point agenda.

But in less than three hours, including a snack break, the well-organized program in the Dietersheim Citizens' Hall was completed.

FFW chairman Raik Dennstädt was able to welcome many members, honorary members as well as district fire councilor Manfred Danner and district fire inspector Helmut Schmid.

Other guests included Mayor Sebastian Thaler and the honorary citizens of Dietersheim.

Commander Markus Krauß submitted an impressive activity report.

The armed forces currently have 90 active and 73 passive members.

A total of 1,097 hours were worked, compared to 856 hours in the previous year.

Krauss noted: Only joining and leaving the fire department are voluntary, in between there is a duty for the firefighters.

And so the 3,322 hours for practice, training and meetings, 113 hours for group leadership or board meetings and a further 240 hours for equipment maintenance result in a total of 4,772 hours.

First responder service recorded a total of 258 calls

The 324 missions in 2023 included ten fire missions, 43 technical assistance missions and ten hazardous goods specialist advisory missions.

Integrated into this proud record of the Dietersheim fire department is the first responder service, which has been uninterrupted since January 1, 2022, with 258 missions - 30 more than in the previous year.

During these operations, basic medical measures are used to bridge the time until rescue equipment arrives.

Help was provided 29 times in Dietersheim, 66 times in Eching, 138 times in Neufahrn and four times on the motorway.

Dennstädt reported on the club's activities that the fire department maintains and organizes contact with other Florians' disciples and clubs, but also takes part in the "Clean Landscape Campaign" or in mudflat tournaments, which shows the good atmosphere in the club.

Bernhard Brantl's impeccable financial management was confirmed by the auditors.

The balance sheet surplus, mainly from the income from the summer festival, is important so that we are well prepared for the anniversary next year.

The new statutes were unanimously approved by the members

The 150th anniversary was also the occasion for amendments to the statutes in order to be able to maintain the status as a registered association.

The new statutes were presented and unanimously approved by the members.

These statutes also provide for a second secretary.

Theresa Fütterer, who was unanimously elected, will take over this position.

The entire remaining board of directors was confirmed in office.

And there were honors too: Board member Raik Dennstädt received the bronze club pin for 15 years of active service.

Manuel Thies (25 years), Simon Hanrieder (40 years), Günther Kunter (50 years) and Martin Mayer (70 years) were honored for loyal, long-term membership.
