His mother, Carmela, was killed by her husband on 25 April 2010 in Feletto Umberto (Udine).
A date which, as Pasquale Guadagno himself recounts in his book Wherever you are, he will never "forget" and after which he had to "start living a new life full of difficulties and pain, often feeling abandoned by the institutions".
Guadagno, 27 years old, of Neapolitan origins, presented his book in Trieste in recent days, during a meeting promoted by the Regional Commission for Equal Opportunities.
A conference that aimed to raise awareness on the issue of feminicide and on victims of violence, for which - it was said by Guadagno and the president of Crpo Fvg, Dusy Marcolin, as reported in a note - concrete support actions are still not enough.
“There is still work to be done,” Guadagno emphasized, at the national and regional levels.
The 27-year-old, who has a sister, Annamaria, then went on to talk about the conflictual relationship with his father, sentenced to 18 years in prison, which later became 13 for good behavior, and who will finish serving his sentence today.
A topic also explored in depth in the Corriere della Sera.
When "our father comes out of prison - Guadagno told the newspaper - by law, he will be free to do whatever he wants with our mother's body".
In fact, the man wants to cremate her "to keep her with him", the young man said.
As children, however, he lamented, "we have no rights" to our mother's body.
