"With proper planning, functionality, and maximum utilization of the space, even a 50 square meter apartment can feel like a luxurious suite," says designer and interior designer Shlomi Botansky, who turned a 50 square meter apartment located on the waterfront in Bat Yam into the dream suite for the owner. "The idea behind the design was to take advantage of the fact that the apartment is located on the waterfront, and bring the sea inside, into the living experience. So, as soon as you open the door - you immediately feel like you're on vacation," Botansky says.

The suite was designed as one open space, containing the bedroom, the living room, the kitchen and the closet room. The only space that is separated is the space of the shower room and the toilet, which is separated by a glass wall.

The entrance door chosen for the suite is actually an interior door, from the Pandora company, chosen to maintain the clean and simple design.

On top of the door there are transverse engravings, which combine with the recurring striped element in the space.

The sea, which is a few meters away from the apartment, is indeed felt as a central element in it.

Different shades of blue guide the aesthetic narrative, creating a visual sequence that corresponds with the coastline visible from the apartment window.

A decorative concrete wall is placed along the central space in sand tones and with a texture that simulates the movement of water.

Metal touches in a brass shade decorate the carpentry in the apartment, and let in the sun's rays.

In order to maximize every square meter in the apartment, Botansky emphasizes planning a small and functional kitchen, which allows for the preparation of quick and easy meals, and is adapted to the needs of a couple on vacation.

The unique blue shades in which the kitchen wall is painted, and the texture that reminds of the traces of water on the sand, instill a feeling of cleanliness and calmness.

In the living room, there is a sofa rich in pillows, which bring warmth to the space.

The white color of the sofa corresponds with the shades of blue and with the feeling of the sea that surrounds the apartment.

The curtains in the living room make it look slightly larger than its actual size, and give a sense of space.

In order to allow accommodation, the sofa opens into a double bed.

The sleeping space boasts a large double bed, with luxury bedding that provides the ultimate comfort for a pampering vacation.

The bathroom, which is separated from the living space, expands the tile motif in the living room with a delicate striped wall covering that simulates soft touches of sand.

The planning and design turned a simple 50 square meter apartment in Bat Yam into a luxurious suite, which captures the essence of life on the coastline. The cost of the project is estimated at only NIS 400,000.
